Military Experience
UNITED STATES ARMY | NATO
NATO Leadership
My journey in defense leadership ended with managing complex daily operations at NATO's Allied Land Command Headquarters in İzmir, Türkiye. There, I was responsible for the comprehensive oversight of U.S. Army and Marine Corps personnel assigned to NATO Land Command, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Türkiye, and the Defense Against Terrorism Center of Excellence. This included planning, operations, administration, medical support, and combat training. Acting as the U.S. liaison to 31 NATO allies and 5 partner nations, I ensured coordination across multinational efforts, building cohesion in environments where strategic interoperability was essential. My work helped drive readiness and unity across one of NATO's most vital command structures.
Operational Excellence in High-Stakes Environments
Before NATO, I served in one of the U.S. Army's most elite airborne units, specializing in reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence-driven operations. I led a platoon of scouts and served as an operations officer, orchestrating mission plans and intelligence synchronization. During this time, I participated in joint operations in Eastern Europe alongside the British Airborne Corps and Estonian Defense Forces to enhance allied reconnaissance capabilities during Operation Swift Response. Following the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I deployed with the U.S. Army’s Immediate Response Force, coordinating efforts with Polish Armored Forces to support Ukrainian defense initiatives. These experiences honed my ability to lead in high-tempo, coalition environments where trust, agility, and strategic vision are critical.
Building the Next Generation of Combat Leaders
I’ve also had the privilege of shaping future Army leaders as an infantry tactics instructor. At one of the Army's primary training centers, I trained over 3,000 officers in core combat maneuvers, tactical leadership, and battlefield decision-making. My focus was on delivering practical, high-pressure training scenarios to equip junior leaders with the tools needed to lead effectively in dynamic combat conditions. This role deepened my appreciation for mentorship and highlighted the long-term impact of effective instruction in strengthening the force.
Strengthening Partnerships Abroad
Earlier in my career, I served as a team leader during a multinational deployment to Thailand, where we worked closely with the Royal Thai Army. Our mission included joint disaster relief training, small arms instruction, and English-language exchange — initiatives designed to enhance operational interoperability and build enduring partnerships. My role also included serving as the radio operator, ensuring secure and reliable communications across our unit. These early experiences shaped my approach to coalition-building and reinforced the importance of trust, cultural fluency, and shared mission objectives in international military cooperation.
